We are proud to announce the continuation of our competition, which last year expanded to also include films from the baltics. There are many important and high-quality films on the themes war and conflict, peace and reconciliation being made in the Nordic/Baltic region (Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia). Movies on War is the clear choice for these films, and we also want to be a meeting place for filmmakers, scholars, journalists, contemporary witnesses, as well as the general audience. The competition is open for films up to 60 minutes regardless of format.
Sparebank1 Østlandet continues with sponsoring a sizeable prize of 10 000 NOK (approx 1000 EUR) for the winning film of the Nordic/Baltic Competition and the students from Elverum Folk High School will award Helge Væringsaasens Film Prize for 5 000 NOK. The selected films will be announced in October!
Deadline October 1th, 2023!
